What is a typical day during Board and Train? 

Each dog has their own special curriculum based upon their behavioral needs while they are at training. We follow general schedule Monday though Saturday. Sunday's we give the dogs' a break for half of the day. They work until noon and then they are break the remainder of the day to regroup and rest for the upcoming week.

6:30am-7:30am:  Wake up call! Everyone wakes up and goes potty and they get their breakfast. After they eat each dog gets 30 minutes of rest and time to digest their food. We do this 30 minute food digest period, to prevent the dogs from bloating.

8:00am: Pack walks and individual walks! If your dog is social and likes other dogs, they will get the chance to go on a pack walk (either on leash or off leash depending on where they are at in our training program).  If your dog struggles with aggressive behavior towards other dogs they will get an individual walk.

9:00am-12:00pm: During this time your dog will attend small group classes or they will work alone on individual behaviors.

12:00pm-1:00pm: Lunch break! If your dog gets a lunch meal, they will get their meal and then take an afternoon rest period.

1:00pm-5:00pm: Your dog will attend the "lecture hall" with all of their fellow classmates and work in large group classes. If your dogs isn't able to work with other classmates they will continue on with individual lessons. During this time period we also go on our "outings." We believe in taking your dogs out to as many places as possible so they learn that they have to listen anywhere that we take them. During this time they also learn how to behave for car rides too!

5:00pm-6:00pm: Dinner time! Your dog will have worked hard for their dinner meal! They get fed and then take a short break to let their food digest.

6:00pm-7:00pm: The dogs get to go on a pack hike through the state park, or an individual walk. Focusing on their obedience and proper behavior.

7:00pm-8:30pm: Social hour! After a hard day's of work, we allow the dogs that are appropriate for play to have social time to play with each other. We believe the dogs should get a chance to unwind and have some fun at the end of the day after all their hard work!

8:30pm-9:30pm: Bedtime! All of the dogs are put to bed with a special bedtime snack. Most of the pups get a frozen peanut butter kong (diet allowing), then they are out!

We wake up in the morning and do it all over again!!! During your dog's training time they will be focusing on all the behaviors on their list. Every dog is learning different skills, and we will focus on their specific skills during their training sessions!
